I have the colors brown sugar (lighter shade) and toffee (deeper shade)
This foudation is hands down my new favorite foundation. I am allll about complexion products so when I stumbled across this on YouTube a few weeks ago I knew it was a must try. The finish is matte but not super drying or cakey. I’ve worn this on some of my longer days and I did not notice any creasing or spots where the foundation rubbed away. My only complaint about this foundation is that it does have a strong scent when you initially put it on ( like a grandma perfume kinda lol) but after you buff it out, the scent goes away.
This foundation retails for $40 on the Sephora website and on the Huda Beauty website. None of my local Sephora’s carry the line yet so I had to purchase from the website which was a little nerve wrecking. I did use this website called findation.com to help me choose the shade I needed and it was actually spot on! I then decided to also purchase a shade deeper so that I could use the foundation all summer.
I created this look using the #FauxFilter Foundation and the Aspyn Ovard X Tarte Palette
So next I have my eye palettes (well, eye and cheek). The first one is the Aspyn Ovard Palette which is only available at Ulta and on the Tarte website. I spent about 20 minutes in Ulta deciding between the Aspyn Ovard X Tarte and the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe Palette. I ended up choosing the Aspyn Ovard X Tarte Palette because I’m not really into super dramatic eye looks and this palette will travel well because it has a blush and highlighter in the palette. I used this over the weeked for the first time while out of town and I was literally squealing the entire time because I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. If you are looking for an every day palette, this is probably a good choice for you.
The Anastasia Soft Glam Palette was purchased on a whim. The shade mulberry is what really caught my attention. It was just so pretty and I figured I could step out of my comfort zone a little with this one.
First things first, these blushes are PIGMENTED! A little goes a long way. I am a sucker for an orange blush so I initially purchased this palette solely for french tarte and the beignet highlighter. I sometimes feel like pink blushes end up looking red on my skin but I mixed french tarte and pink truffle together, it was pure magic! (It turned into a beautiful mauve color!) My only complaint is that the packaging is super flimsy (especially for the $40 price tag)
The Beauty Bakerie Coffee and Cocoa Palette is an amazing bronzing palette for just about any skintone. Deja Brew is an amazing bronzer. La Vida Mocha is suchhhh a beautiful blush and You’re Grounded is that perfect gold that gives you an amazing spring/summer glow. But again, my only complaint is that for the $40 price tag, the packaging is a little flimsy.
I’m not really big on setting powder because I usually just set my under-eyes with a lighter foundation powder and don’t really see the need to purchase one. But YouTube convinced me that I needed this so I figured that I would just try it out. After trying it out, I will probably never go back to using a lighter foundation powder to set my under-eyes. The powder is very finely milled and a little goes a long way. I am considering ordering the translucent powder for the days I want a super bright under-eyes and the brown powder to use as a bronzer.
I picked up this Fenty Trio specifically for summer. Right now, the caramel is pretty much my exact skin tone and the truffle is just a tad too deep but by mid July, these shades will be perfect.
8. Farsali Face Oils ($22 each)
I have the mini size of these oils but when they run out I will be going back for the full sizes. I love wearing these oils alone or under my makeup. My skin has for sure been having a moment and I have been trying a few new things to kind of wrangle it in (lol!) These oils have definitely helped a lot. After I was my face with this face wash, I put on the unicorn essence and then the rose gold elixir.
