Hey Guys! It looks like another Monday has rolled around! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent most of my weekend in bed watching the Vikings (does anyone else watch this?!) on Amazon Prime and making homemade pizza (lol!) I usually like to get out and spend my weekends with friends or family but this weekend I was just too exhausted to put on real clothes and leave the house for an extended period of time.  Next weekend I plan to make up for it with a trip to the farmers market and some consignment shopping! I’ll be sure to update you guys on all of the details next Monday! 🙂

So this outfit I have on today is breaking a major fashion rule but life is really about making your own rules…right?! (haha!) This shirt is super cute and comes in two other colors, a red and an orange-y color. At first I was a little unsure about this shirt because I am on the busty side and shirts/dresses that tie in the front usually make my shoulders look wide (linebacker status!)…so I try to stay away from them. (I am also super self-conscious about my stomach and will steer clear of anything that draws attention there!) I think I pulled this one off just fine though. I would say the downfall of this top is that it shows your bra. I got around it by putting a lacey nude bra underneath so it sort of looks like its a part of the shirt.

The jeans I have on are my own creation. I purchased plain white jeans in a longer length from Abercrombie a few months ago. At the time, I really liked them but I’ve tried to wear them a few times and each time I change into something else! I think they were just too plain so I decided to distress them. I just use scissors to cut slits and then I spend some time (a lot of time! days!!) pulling the threads to distress them (I even take time to distress the hem at the bottom since that’s what’s “on-trend”). Since they are the long version, I distressed the bottom and then cuffed them to give a little added flair. I loveee the way they turned out but I cannot see myself taking the time to distress another pair in the near future (my poor fingertips! haha!)

Comment below and tell me what you guys think of my distressed jeans! Also, if you have any tips or tricks on making distressed jeans quicker (other than buying them…) let me know in the comment section down below!
