White Tee | Plaid Shirt (similar here) | Leggings | Sneakers | Sunglasses
Back at it again with another pre-fall outfit! This is such a comfy (and cute) way to dress for this tricky transition from summer to fall. I have always loved plaid and I am so glad that it is on-trend because that makes it so much easier to find in stores and online. This shirt was a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale but I didn’t get a chance to scoop it up then because the color (the blue version) I really wanted was always out of stock in my size. After the sale, I forgot about the shirt until I began putting my collage together for my fall favorites post. Right after I published the post, I went ahead and ordered the shirt in red! I am still secretly hoping that they will restock the shirt in blue. IMO, plaid shirts and fall just go hand in hand and I can’t wait to wear this shirt all fall long. Since the weather is still warm it is nice to throw this on top of a white tee or tie it around your waist. When it cools down, I will probably wear the shirt tucked into some jeans with booties or OTK boots if it’s really chilly.
I paired the shirt with leggings here but you can also wear it with a jean skirt, shorts, or jeans. I have been getting some serious wear out of the leggings I have on. They were a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale too and they come in other colors. They are super comfy but I wish I hadn’t listened to the reviews that said they ran small. To me, they do not run small. If anything, they run large and I would have been better off with a small. The mediums fit okay but they are a little large in the waist which tends to sort of stretch out during wear. If you are looking to purchase them, I would suggest trying them on in store before buying them. In comparison to my lululemon leggings I prefer the lululemon’s because they are more comfortable. The lululemon’s feel more like a second skin while these are slightly irritating to the skin (well mine any way! lol!).
