Hey guys! I know I said I would be more consistent in 2019 but last week was the craziest week I have had in a while. I know I say that often on here but if y’all just knew some of the things that happen in my life day to day, you would be shocked! Lets just say, some of the things that I encounter would be movie or book worthy (haha!). I know I don’t share a whole lot on here about my personal life but I am still trying to figure out exactly how much of my personal life I should share. I like to keep things to myself (almost to a fault lol!) so branching out and sharing my experiences publicly is wayyyy out of my comfort zone. Hopefully, with time, I will be able to share more with you guys.
On to what you guys came for! I decided to make a post about outfit essentials every girl should have. I thought of this post when trying to get dressed in a rush one day and I quickly threw a few of these pieces together and immediately thought “hmmm….I should post about these essentials”…so here it is! IMO, the items that I listed are a must for any closet and are very versatile and can be mixed and matched in any way to create an amazing look!
Black Leather Jacket
I am a sucker for leather (or faux leather) jackets. I currently have a total of 4 leather jackets which all get equal amounts of love. My husband swears they all look the same but they all have a different look…to me anyway (lol!). The most recent one I purchased was this one. I love the gold detailing. I have been open the hunt for a leather jacket with gold detailing for a while and I was soooo excited when I saw this one on sale! IMO, leather jackets add a bit of edge to any outfit.
White Sneakers
My favorite white sneaker always have and forever will be the high top white converse. I actually have two pair right now and I am really in desperate need of a new pair because
they are both pretty dingy. I actually think one of the pairs is slightly coming apart but I’m not quite ready to give them up! I like to wear mine with just about everything but I really like how they look with leggings and a basic tee. A white sneaker is just so versatile which is why I included it as an outfit essential.
Basic Tee
A basic tee is an absolute must because it can be dressed up or down. When you have basic tees, it makes creating outfits super easy because you can mix and match the shoes, jeans, and accessories to create a bunch of different looks. For the days that I am in a rush or I feel like I have nothing to wear, I usually just throw on a white tee and build around that staple until I have a look that I am in love with for the day.
Black Jeans
Can you ever really have enough black jeans?! lol I have had to stop myself from purchasing more black jeans. They are a staple in my closet and I find myself reaching for these more so than my regular denim. I find that black jeans are just so much more flattering and they look good with just about any top, jacket, or sweater.
Nude Pump
A nude pump was not something that I saw as necessary until recently. I just never had the use for them until I needed them and didn’t have them…if that makes any sense lol! For this essential, I opted for a designer version because I knew that they would last a while and I would be able to get a ton of wear out of them but its not super necessary to buy designer! Nude pumps are great to wear on date nights, to weddings, and pretty much every occasion in between.
