Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy

Hey Ya’ll!!!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I hope that everyone has a wonderful/fun filled adventure. I have been prolonging typing this post because I wasn’t quite sure what to say or how to go about creating this post. My mom came over to my apartment last week to shoot these pictures which was a real treat! My mom doesn’t come over very often so it was really nice for her to stop by and have some girl time with me. I did her makeup (she let me put lashes on her) and I picked an outfit for her out of my closet. It was weird how that role sort of reversed! My mom spent so many years dressing me and combing my hair and now I can do it for her. 😇 While I did her makeup we just chatted and we caught up on TV shows. We both love TV and we love to talk to each other about life soo I put on the show Good Girls so I put that on so she could watch it while we talked and I did her makeup. We agreed that we love Rio and hate the FBI agent guy…does anyone else agree with this??? I was superrrr nervous about styling her and doing her makeup that I started sweating so bad and my heart was pounding the entire time. My mom and I are close and we don’t usually have a problem telling each other when we don’t like something are or unhappy about something. With that being said, I knew she would let me know if she didn’t like something so I wanted everything to turn out really good lol In the end, she really liked the finished product and I think she was every a little shocked at my makeup skills. I don’t mean to toot my own horn or anything but “toot toot” 😆Although I am no makeup artist, I have picked up a few makeup skills here and there so I shared those with her. She was stunned at how you are supposed to wet the makeup sponge before you use it on your face and even admitted to throwing ones away because they got wet! I thought this was hilarious! Overall, we had a really great time. It was really nice spending some one on one time with her since we don’t get a ton of that these days.
We decided on her wearing this purple dress because…I mean it’s just so cute and flattering!  Plus the color looked amazing on her skintone. The dress is like the perfect mix between purple and pink.  I wish it came in other colors because it would my summer uniform….like a lime green or a neon orange or a tie dye!!! The fabric is really nice and it doesn’t stretch out after you wear it for a while.
