Save vs Splurge

Hey guys!

I love seeing these “save vs splurge” diagrams on insta so I decided to make one of my own. I made one similar to this one a few years ago but it was more of a comparing products that could be switched out for one another instead of a whole save outfit vs a whole splurge outfit…if that makes sense (lol!). I decided to make one like this because I think it can be so easy to get caught up in the idea that you have to spend a ton of money to look nice and put together but in reality you really don’t have to at all. These outfits look pretty much identical to me. It’s also important to note that mixing and matching “high” and “low” pieces is completely okay. I love to mix “highs” and “lows”. I really love to save my splurges for my accessories and like to save on my basics. Any way, I hope you guys enjoy this post as much as I have enjoyed making it 🙂

Happy Hump Day!

Save Options:

1.Jeans (Most of my jeans are Abercrombie. I have worn these jeans for YEARS and most likely will always own at least a few pairs of these. They fit really well and you can catch them on sale pretty often.)

2.White Tee (even better price here)

3.Nude Heels

4.Handbag (under $15)

5.Foundation (I loveee this foundation! I think I purchased like 5 bottles of it. I use the color cocoa. The coverage on this is amazing but the smell of it is a bit VERY STRONG. If you can get past the paint smell then there is a chance that you will love it just as much as I do!)

6.Lipstick (In the color boy toy. Boy toy is a cool mauve)

7.Lip Liner (Brown or Nude Truffle)

8. Concealer (I have this concealer in a few colors. I love it because it’s so matte that I don’t have to set it with powder which makes for a quicker maker up routine because I can skip a whole step)

Splurge:

1. Jeans (I was not a fan of designer jeans because I really didn’t understand the high cost but after getting a pair of these my thoughts have changed. I still love my Abercrombie jeans but the fit on these are just next level. They actually fit my waist pretty well and they make my booty look great! Plus, they are 100% cotton so they do not stretch at all which is good because they suck everything in.)

2.White Tee

3. Nude Heels

4. Handbag

5. Foundation (This is actually one of my favorite foundations to date! The coverage is just pure perfection! I have never had a foundation smooth and blur my skin like this one does. I have a few backups just in case they decide to discontinue it. On my vanity I have the color Praline which is just a tad cool for me but I still use it.)

6. Lipstick (The color I picked for this post was called Hepburn Honey but they changed the name from Hepburn Honey to Yes Honey. It is a really pretty light peach nude lipstick. I deff need a brown lipliner to go with it though…I can’t just throw this color on and go)

7. Lipliner (In the Shade Foxy Brown)

8. Concealer ( I have a few shades of the concealer to use for different reasons. I have a darker shade that I like to use as a cream bronzer, an exact skin tone match for the days that I just want under eye coverage without adding foundation, and I have a few lighter shades to highlight my under-eye area. I think its safe to say that I really love this concealer but it for sure took me a while to get in to it. At first I hated it (lol) but after learning how to make it work for me, I love it!)
