Beauty Recap || First Impressions

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Sharing my first impressions on some of my recent beauty purchases. 🙂

NARS Soft Matte Foundation in Syracuse

I have only used this foundation a handful of times but I LOVEEEEEE it and I have said this since day one of trying it out. The only thing that I am not crazy about is the color but I just ordered a shade that is a tad lighter and I am hoping that I like it more. Syracuse is my normal shade in NARS foundations but for some reason this one looks darker on me. The formula is unique and feels almost like a gel to me. I have used this with the soft matte concealer and the combo of the two is just amazing! My skin looked so blurred and smooth! I use the color ginger in the concealer. The concealer does a really good job at covering my darker undereyes and does not BUDGE after I set it. It does still crease a tad under my eyes though but I have naturally wrinkly undereyes so I can’t avoid that at all (lol!).

The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer

This primer is only $5 and it works pretty well. I like to let it set for a 30 sec to a minute before I blend it out/rub it in to give it some time to fill in the lines or pores that I have on my face. I find that using it that way gives me the coverage/blurring effect that I like for my makeup. For the price, I would deff repurchase this. It almost reminds me of the Becca Ever-Matte and Poreless Primer but a lot less thick and drying and doesn’t leave a white cast like the Becca one does.

Natasha Denona Glam Palette

I was super nervous about this one but I actually am starting to really like it. I was worried the cooler tones would look too ashy on me or wash me out but I haven’t had that problem with this palette at all! The shimmers in this palette are what really have me sold. I love to add a shimmer shadow on my inner corner and these SHINE without any setting spray.

Dose Of Colors Coffee and Cream Set

These are GOOD! They don’t overdry my lips, roll up , or crack at all. Even after I placed gloss on top, I had not issues with the liquid lipstick rolling up or clumping up on my lips. In the pictures above I have the darkest shade (chocolate wasted) around the perimeter of my lips as a lip liner and the color cork in the center of my lips. Such a perfect combo for fall/winter! I have linked the colors individually too just in case y’all only want one color out of the set and not the whole thing…..chocolate wasted , cork, sand, and supernatural. I wish they would have added this color in to the set too. I think I may order it and try it out.
