Hey Bestie!
Welcome back to my weekly updates. Im currently sitting in bed watching RHOP, uploading a YouTube video for tomorrow, and typing this post. Literallyyyy, multi-tasking at it’s finest. Today was the second day that I recorded content for YouTube and instagram and it was probably one of the most exhausting things I’ve ever done. Because here’s the tea…life doesn’t stop just because you have a camera. So, I still have to mom and do all of the things while trying to get content. I know once I get used to doing this I will get into my flow but in these beginning stages it’s pretty chaotic. The great thing about all of this is that I really get to lean into my planning and organization skills. So as I go, I’m taking note of how I can better plan and prioritize my days to make filming fit in more seamlessly. I also really get to take advantage of using my digital planners and other digital organization tools. If you are in the market for a digital planner, I sell blank templates in Etsy that are goodnotes and notability compatible. I also have financial planners, journals, and sermon notes templates. You can shop my Etsy page here. The best part about my digital planners is that they are undated so you can use them again and again after your initial purchase.
Here’s a link to my latest “Plan With Me” YouTube video. I post these types of videos every Sunday evening to instagram and most recently YouTube. If you like this type of content be sure to like, comment, and subscribe.
But lets get to why you guys are here…
Last weeks Coffee Syrup Flavor:
Caramel Brûlée
I would rate this syrup a 8.5/10. It was good…great even…but the Sage + Vanilla Bean is still my favorite. Plus, this one took a little bit more finesse than the previous two recipes I made. The first two were simple because I was able to toss everything into the pan at once. This recipe had more steps to it. Don’t get me wrong it was still easy but as a busy mom, that little bit of extra time can be room for my kids to really turn up! I have the recipe listed below and I have the video linked. When you make this recipe do not panic when you add the water to the sugar mixture and it hardens. It’s totally normal for this to happen. Just turn the heat up a bit and stir. It should melt back down.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of water
1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14oz)
2 tsp of vanilla bean paste
1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Add brown sugar into a sauce pan on medium heat and stir
allow the brown sugar to completely melt and then add water
the sugar will seize (harden) but don’t panic…turn up the heat a bit and stir
add in condensed milk
add vanilla bean paste
stir and allow to cool
store in a mason jar
