Happy Monday! We have made it through the first week of 2018! (whoo-hoo!) It has been FREEZING here the past week. IMO, the only time super cold temperatures are acceptable is when there is snow on the ground and we have not seen one snowflake. I’m constantly checking the weather to see if snow is headed in my direction. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a little bit of snow before winter ends! Just an inch or two will suffice.
I put this outfit together because I really wanted to wear these boots. I purchased them at my local Steve Madden on Friday night for less than 60 bucks which I thought was a crazy good deal. I ran into to the mall with the intention of finding a furry coat but I couldn’t find a coat and I found these. They were marked down and the store had a promotion for an extra 40% off! When I saw the price tag I had to ask the sales associate if they were marked correctly. (haha!) Initially, I thought they were the black version of the boots I wore in this post but they actually come up higher, which I really like. TBH, I wish I would have found this version of the boot first because of how high up they go. (Also, these zip on the side instead of the back) I will be honest and say that they don’t stay up that well but that’s something I’m willing to overlook because of the price.
The turtleneck I have on is soooo soft, comfy, and on sale! (Less than 50 bucks) I am wearing the lilac color which I think is so pretty for the winter but I’ll able to get some wear out of it in the early spring because it’s on the thinner side. I am wearing a large and to be honest, I should have purchased a medium but I always size up when making online purchases because I’m afraid the item won’t fit. I just made the large work by tucking the front of my shirt into my jeans.
I threw this scarf on because I thought the outfit needed something to pull it together. I purchased this scarf on a whim and I have worn it a few times since I purchased it. I honestly don’t think its worth the money. It snags really easily on my nails and zippers. It actually snagged really bad and got a hole in it the first day I wore it. Since that happened, I went on the hunt to find a replacement and I found this one. It’s soft, thick, and I have not had a problem with it snagging. I actually wanted to wear the newer scarf but I could not find it when I was getting dressed and I didn’t have the time to search for it.
I hope you guys have a great week!
