I am a HUGE fan of nude lipsticks! When making lipstick purchases it always comes down to a nude or a bright pink shade like MAC Candy Yum-Yum. Lately, I have found myself reaching more for nudes than my brighter pinks so I decided to do a post on them. I usually wear a liner with my nudes. Most of the time, I like to line my lips and then fill my lips in with the lipstick. Sometimes I will fill my lips in completely with the liner and then add the lipstick on top if I want to deepen the nude lipstick. The liners that I use on a regular basis are MAC Cork, MAC Stripdown, MAC Chestnut, and MAC Stone. I also like to use NYX lipliners. They have a dupe for most of the colors that I have listed above.
Freckletone:
This is my no fuss nude. It is very sheer which I like because you can play with it. I like to add some liner (usually MAC Cork) and put Fenty Gloss Bomb on top for an effortless look. Unfortunately, I did not realize that this lipsitck is no longer available on the MAC website or on the Nordstrom but a great dupe for this color is Tom Ford Revolve Around Me.
Playing Koi :
I have to start by saying that this nude is not for the faint of heart. This nude is very stark and definitely requires a lip liner. I like to wear this nude two different ways. Sometimes, I like to fill my lips completely in with a liner and layer this on top to deepen the color. Then I will line my lips with the same lip liner to create some depth. The other way that I like to wear this lipstick is to apply the lipstick and then line my lips with the liner of my choice.(BTW, this color is limited edition)
Nicki’s Nude (ON SALE) :
This has been my go-to for the past few weeks. This goes on as a nice warm peach. This color is really easy to just throw on when I’m in a rush or I want a nude lip that doesn’t require much fuss because the color is very close to my natural lip color. My favorite lip liner to use with this lipstick is MAC Cork.
The PinkPrint (ON SALE):
This is a beautiful pink-y nude. This color (along with the one above) is on sale for about 10 dollars which is a great deal IMO. Out of the nudes I have listed this is the one that I have worn the least out of the four but it still gets some wear. I like to always have at least one pink-y nude in my collection because I think it softens any look. My favorite combo with this lipstick is MAC Chestnut.
