Over the weekend I posted two cranberry eye looks and I got a few questions about how I created them and what palette (or palettes) I used to create them. I figured I would do a step by step post on what brushes I used and the two palettes I used to create these looks. The best part about this look is that one of the palettes is only $12 which is superrr affordable.
The Palettes:
ABH Sultry Palette (I only used two colors…dystopian and rose quartz)
ColourPop Ooh La La Palette (This palette is only $12! I used colors: soft core, poodle, trove, moonstruck, and sandbar)
Step by Step Tutorial:
1. Soft Core with M518 (Morphe)
I started by dusting this color in my crease. This palette doesn’t have any transition colors that I am used to using (orange based or neutral browns) so I went in with the closest thing to a soft neutral. I dusted this color all over my crease using circular motions.
2. Poodle with M513 (Morphe)
I wanted deepen the color in my crease a little more so I went in with poodle on a smaller crease brush. I tried to buff this only in my crease to give my eye even more definition.
3. Trove with M507 (Morphe)
I went in with this smaller brush to add trove to the outer corner of my eye and slightly into my crease.I kept going back in with this color as I created the look to make sure the overall look was “cranberry-y” enough. I also blended this color into my in corner towards the center of my lid to deepen my overall eye.
4. Moon Struck with M124
For this color I sprayed my brush with setting spray first and then dipped into the color. I placed moonstruck just in the center of my lid. After I placed this color on my lid, I went back in with Trove on the same M507 to make sure everything was blended and seamless.
5. This is the step that I realized that the look was a little too red/pink lol! I went in with dystopian in my outer corner to add a little depth to the look. I then went back in with a little more trove on my M507 to make sure everything was blended.
6. I wanted a little more sparkle so I went over moonstruck with rose quartz from the ABH Sultry palette with the same M124.
7. I dipped into sandbar with a blending brush and blended it from my inner corner towards the dystopian that I placed in my outer corner to create a blown out look.
8. I used the smallest blending brush I had and blended sandbar under my lower lashes.
