Beauty First Impressions || Trying Gucci Beauty + New Beauty Products

Hey Guys!

Happy Friday Jr. 🙂

I shared some of these beauty items on recent purchases posts but I wanted to drop in and do a first impressions of the products I have been able to try out so far.

#1 Gucci Natural Finish Fluid Foundation (shade 340N) – So far….this foundation is a VIBE. The finish, the formula, the coverage…it’s all perfect. This foundation is very light and looks like skin but it can be built up to provide more coverage. One pump of this covered my whole face but I used 3 or 4 to give the full coverage that I like and I didn’t have any problems with it being cakey. The formula reminded me of the Pat McGrath foundation but this one has more of a luminous finish to it than the PAT McGRATH one. Overall, I think it’s worth the splurge! I used this bronzer with the foundation. I was also able to try out the matching primer via a sample and loved it too. I’ll link it here.

#2 Fenty Pro Filt’r Soft MattePowder Foundation (shade 310) – I was nervous ab this one….I’m not even going to lie about it. I have really dry skin after having Sage and I did not think this would work for me but BOY was I wrong. I did have to do a ton of skin prep before had but the end result was beautiful. Even D noticed and commented that my skin looked much more blurred and smoothed out that usual. I also use a light shade underneath my eyes to really cover my darker under eye areas. I use shade 105 under my eyes.

#3 Maison Margiela ‘Replica’ Springtime in a Park – If you love really floral scents you will most likely love this one too. It reminds me of the Jo Malone Red Roses but not as intense of a rose smell. The notes in this are:

Top notes: Pear Accord, Bergamot Essence, Blackcurrant Accord
Middle notes: Lily of the Valley Accord, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute, Rose Damascena Absolute
Base notes: Musks, Vanilla Accord, Ambrox

#4 Gucci Lipsticks in Carol Beige (satin) and Penny Beige (Matte) – I meant to but both of these in the matte formula but bought one in the satin formula on accident. I am somewhat glad I did that because I was able to try out both formulas and compare the two. Although I like both formulas, I like the matte formula more. It’s probably the most comfortable matte lipstick I have ever warn and it make my lips look really full and plush without looking creasy…if that makes sense. I like the formula so much that I have placed an order for the Carol Beige color in the matte formula. I like to use both of these shades together. I put Penny Beige on first after applying this lipliner and then add Carol Beige in the middle to give a bit more definition.
