New Obsession Alert: Eye Shadow Palettes

I’d say over the past 6 or 7 months I have been really trying to get into eye shadow. Usually, when it comes to makeup I am a complexion fanatic. I loveeeeeee new foundation and that’s mostly what I buy when I go to sephora/ulta. I have always strayed away from eye shadow because I never really knew where to start but lately I have really wanted to expand my skills so eyeshadow has been my new obsession. I made a post about my new beauty purchases back in May and talked about two eye palettes that I purchased then. I am still in love with those, especially the Aspyn Ovard Palette. That palette is just perfect for a girl like me who has no idea what to do when looking at an eyeshadow palette (Plus it smells really good!).  Since then, I have purchased three more palettes. Two of the palettes I have used and loved. The third, I just purchased and haven’t had a chance to use yet but I just thought I’d share it with you guys. I had been wanting the last palette for a while but I never purchased it because it just wasn’t at the top of the list because of the color options. I like warmer colors on my eyes and this palette has a lot of cooler colors. I ended up finding it for 50% off at Ulta a few weeks ago so I decided to purchase!

I loveeeee this palette! This is my favorite recent eye palette purchase because of the warm colors. I am a sucker for a warm orange-y brown because I feel like they really pop on my skin. My-go to colors in this palette are warmth, cozy, and simmer. I like to mix warmth and cozy together and put them in my crease and then add simmer onto my lid. This is combination is a perfect everyday look. If I want a smokier look, I add fireside to the outer corner.

First, I purchased this palette completely on accident. I went into my local sephora with the intention of purchasing the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. I went in all excited, grabbed the palette, and purchased it still thinking I had purchased the Rose Gold Palette. When I got home and decided to use it, I realized I had purchased the wrong palette. I was so bummed out but I decided to use it anyway and I have fallen in love with it. Again, this palette has a lot of warm shadows and all of the shadows are really smooth and easy to blend. My go-to colors are oud, saffron, blazing, amber, turkish delight, and amethyst. My only complaint is that for the cost of the palette the packaging could be better.

As I said above, I recently purchased this palette but haven’t used it yet. I have to be honest with this and say that this palette is super intimidating to me because the colors aren’t as warm as I like to use and I have no idea how to make any of these colors work together. I think the packaging really sold me with this one so I am going to have to play with it to make it work. I do have high hopes for the formula though because I have a few other too faced palettes (peanut butter and jelly, sweet peach, and just peachy mattes) that I love so I am sure this will be no different!
