Outfit Details:
I am literally in loveee with this outfit and I could honestly wear a version of this outfit every day! My favorite type of outfit is one that is super simple but still very cute and stylish and this is it. I purchased this entire outfit during the Nordstrom #Nsale so the prices for the dress and jacket were lower then than they are now. Despite the increase prices, the last time I checked, everything was still available in a few different sizes.
I had been wanting a jean jacket like this for a while but I couldn’t seem to find the “one”. When I saw this jacket during the Nordstrom sale I was sort of hesitant to purchase it but ended up going for it on one of the last days of the sale. Even though the reviews for the jacket suggested sizing down, I sized up. I know that sounds sort of backwards because the jacket is huge already and to size up would mean I would basically be swimming in denim (which I am! lol!) but I figured I would be able to wear it with some of my thicker sweaters this fall/winter. For reference, I am wearing an XL. I rolled up the sleeves to give it more shape.
The dress is actually pretty thick/heavy and I also own it in the black version. I am wearing a size medium in the lilac and in the black version I have a large. Comparing the two pictures, you probably wouldn’t see much of a difference but the medium feels better than the large. When it comes to dresses like these I like them to be skin tight because I feel like that’s how they are made to fit. If a small was available at the time of purchase, I would have probably gone with that tbh.
