My Black Friday Haul: Makeup Edition

Hey guys! If you follow me on insta, you know that I have spent the past week in sunny, warm Miami!!!!!! My husband’s family is from South Florida so we decided to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with his side of the family. We have been together for 7 years (married for 2) and we have neverrrrrrrr spent a holiday with his side of the family….like not even 4th of July!!! lol With that being said, this was a PRETTY BIG DEAL! I had so much fun with them on Thanksgiving day. Of course, while we were there, we did a little Black Friday shopping and this post is dedicated to all of the beauty products I purchased then. Our hotel was located about 15 minutes (30 minutes with traffic) from Aventura Mall. This mall is a shoppers paradise. Every store you could possibly think of was in this mall. From Givenchy to Melissa…its actually insane! Each time I visit this mall, I get lost because it is just that big! The store that I went super crazy in on Black Friday was MORPHEEEEEEE (*insert Oprah emoji*)! We do not have a full sized Morphe store here in Charlotte so I hadd to maximize on this opportunity. (especially after I realized how amazing their products were after creating my affordable Thanksgiving look!)  The sales associates in this store were so awesome and helpful! If you guys live near this mall or are traveling to Miami soon, you should for sureee stop by this location. There were soooo many goodies in the store that I couldn’t even really decide what I actually needed and was going to use.  Below I am going to share all of the items that I purchased by category! I do have a few things that I wish I would have scooped up but that is okay….I will be placing an order online within the next few days (lol…sorry babe…xoxoxoxoxxoxo)

*Before I forget, the Black Friday deal for Morphe was 25% off the entire store!*

Brow Products:

Micro Brow – Mocha

Brow Cream – Mocha

Brow Cream – Latte

Brow Setting Gel – Translucent

I have never used brow gel or cream so I am super excited about trying these out. I have heard that brow cream gives you a more precise and cleaner brown so I am interested in seeing if this is true. Latte is the lighter shade of the two and reminds me of the ABH brow color soft brown. Mocha is slightly darker. I purchased mocha to outline my brow shape and then fill in the “hairs” with latte.

Contour/Bronzer:

Hi-Fi Sculpt and Shimmer 8H

This palette is for tan/deep skin tones and has four bronzer/contour shades and four highlighting shades. I purchased this palette mainly for the contour/bronzing shades. I do not contour because I feel like it makes me look  weird because I already have pretty high cheekbones. However, I do like to bronze me face and these four shades were just calling my name, especially donut and debutante. I do wish that I would have grabbed the Lo-Fi version of this because I tend to lose a lot of color in the winter and this palette may end up being too warm/dark for me during those months.

Liquid Lipsticks:

Peanut
according to the Morphe website this is a spicy sienna

Phatty
according to the Morphe website this is a raspberry

Hotshot
according to the Morphe website this is a chili pepper red

Jealousy
according to the Morphe website this is a muted mauve

I have never tried Morphe liquid lipsticks but one of the sales associates told me that these are crazy amazing! 3 of the 4 colors that I purchased are pretty standard neutral colors for me. I went for Hotshot because I am on a quest for the perfect red for my skin tone and a few sales associates had this color on and it looked gorgeous on them so I went ahead and scooped it up!

Eyeshadow Palettes:

Day Slayer 15D

Brunch Babe 15B

Happy Hour 15H

Morphe X Jaclyn Hill – Ring The Alarm

My eyeshadow palette obsession has gotten out of control! These palettes were only 15 or so and that made it veryyyy hard to decide which ones I should get. I am still thinking of placing an order for Social Butterfly and Hey Girl Hey because they are so pretty!

Highlighters:

High Impact Mini – Spark

Stellar Impact 8S

Brushes:

M160 1/16 Angle Taklon Liner Brush
M115 Mascata Spoolie Brush
M215 Brow Brush
M326
M216 Stiff Brow Brush
M160 1/8 Angle Liner Brush
M213 Smudger Brush

Lipliner:

Sweet Tea

(Loved this so much from my Thanksgiving look that I went back for more!)

Color Pencils:

Trendsetter

Spiffy

Toastie

Setting Spray:

Continuous Setting Mist

I have super oily skin so I am a little nervous about this one because it is not a mattifying spray. One of the SA’s suggested that I spray this and then set my face with powder so that I still achieve a dewy look without looking too greasy so I am going to try that technique out and see how it goes. If I like the look, I may do a tutorial for you guys!

Blush Palette:

8W Warm Master

Warm blushes are my faveeee year round! Blushes with purple undertones tend to read red on my skin after a while and it is just not cute! For that reason, I chose this version over the 8C Cool Pro Blush Palette. (Which is gorgeous by the way!) This palette is perfect for travel because it has 8 blushes in 3 different finishes so you only need to bring this one palette instead of a million different individual blushes lol!

Eyeliner:

Gel Liner – Jet

I haven’t worn eyeliner in years but I picked this up because I think winged liner and a nice pair of wispy lashes is such a classic look! Now, I have never been good at creating a winged liner look but I figured I could try my hand at it!

Lashes:

Santa Monica

Bel Air

Hollywood Hills (2)

Posh

Daydreamer (had to get more!)

Calabasas

Rodeo

With the exception of Posh and Daydreamer, the lashes were only $3….need I say more?

Misc. Tools:

Straight Scissors

Flawless Beauty Sponge

Highlight and Contour Beauty Sponge

If  you missed the Black Friday sale, Morphe is doing 25% off online for Cyber Monday! This is a perrrfeccct time to stock up on some of these amazing products!
