Mixing Designer Pieces with Items That Are Great For Your Budget

Outfit Details:

Top | Jeans (old but similar here) | Shoes (sooo much more comfortable than the So Kates….similar here) | Sunglasses

As y’all know I loveeeee a good (simple) outfit! I always want to look nice and polished with very little fuss and without breaking the bank. I manage to achieve these goals by mixing my high-end and affordable pieces. I firmly believe that how much you spend on an item has very little to do with how the overall outfit looks. It honestly just depends on how you style it, the colors you choose, and the confidence you have that determines whether an outfit looks amazing or not. I have seen people dressed in head to toe designer and their outfit still looks like trash because the pieces that they chose just don’t look right or the person looks uncomfortable in their outfit. You have a lot to do with how your outfit looks.

Today I am going to share with you guys where you should splurge and save when shopping for new items to fill your closet and achieve your best look!

Splurge Items

The items that I will always splurge on are shoes and handbags. I was always taught growing up that these are the items that you splurge on because these are the items that you are going to get the most wear out of and you want these pieces to last daily wear and tear. More specifically I would suggest splurging on neutral colors and simple styles.

Some splurge handbags I would suggest are:

LV Neverfull (any size…I have the GM and I love it!)

Chanel Boy Bag  (Dream BAG!!)

Gucci Dionysus

Givenchy Antigona (I have this bag in pink and I love it!)

Some splurge shoes I would suggest are:

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies

Manolo Blahnik BB

Save items

Items that I would suggest saving on are pieces that are on trend, everyday tops like white tees and accessories. These are my save items because trends tend to vary and spending a ton of money on a on-trend item that may be out in a few months just doesn’t make sense (well to me…haha!).

Examples of save items are:

Trendy Sweaters

Trendy Tops

Basic Tees

Great basics here for less than $10

Sunglasses

I always go to this brand for on trend but affordable sunglasses!
