Hopefully by the time you are reading this, my YouTube tutorial for this look is up. If not, please know that it is on the way veryyy soon (haha!)
Either way, I figured I would make a post listing out the new products that I used and reviewing the ones that are new (to me).
First up, this foundation. Post baby my skin has been DRYYY! Some days it is unbearably dry. Since my skin has been so dry I figured it was a great time to try out some new glowy-radiant foundations. Pre-baby I would have to do a ton of prep on my skin before using a glowy foundation because I was super oily and the foundation would just slide off of my face. Now, I welcome the extra moisture. This foundation is good and it left my skin looking radiant, healthy, and fresh without looking oily. I would deff recommend it to anyone with dry skin. The coverage wasn’t super full but it was buildable without looking cakey. I used the color 4,5 neutral and it matched pretty well. I was a little nervous that it would be too dark because of the online pictures but it was really close to a perfect match.
Primer – I used the Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer and I really really liked it. It was lightweight and helped my foundation go on like butter and stay on for a while. The first time I used this primer I took a pretty long nap with Sage and when I woke up my full face of makeup was still in tact. I was shocked! This is for sure worth the purchase.
Concealer – I was on the fence with this concealer and tbh I’m not really sure why. I never heard any bad reviews of this but for some reason I just wasn’t in to it. Well after watching a few youtubers use it, I decided to purchase. The concealer is good…like so so good. The coverage, the color, the consistency….it was just all around amazing. I prefer a full coverage concealer because I have dark circles and this is it. The only downside, if I had to think of one, would be that it dries down pretty fast. If you like to let your concealer get a little tacky before you blend it out this is one you cannot let sit for too long because you won’t be able blend it out.
Lip Kit- I really like the products that I have tried from Kylie Cosmetics and the lip kit in Handbag Ho is no different. It is a really nice peach brown nude which is what I’m really in to right now. In the video I added a little bit of creme brûlée by Kylie Cosmetics to add a tad bit of dimension and Kylie gloss in always shining.
Jaclyn Hill Volume II Palette – I love the versatility of this palette. You can create looks that are super bright and colorful or create something more neutral like I did. Because of this, I can see myself taking just this palette with me when we are able to travel again. Since it has a transition shades, shimmers, and pops of color, there really wouldn’t be a need to pack any other palette.
Melted Shadow in Cinnamon Toast and Hella Honey – Loved this shade wayyyy better than the last shade that I used in the melted shadows.
