January Beauty Faves

Hey Guys!

Happy Friday Jr.!

February has been flying by so fast that I ALMSOT forgot to do my beauty faves post for January. I usually try to do this post the first week of the month but for some reason I didn’t even think about doing one for January or even write it down in my planner. (OOPS!) Nonetheless, here we go 🙂

Foundation:

Gucci Beauty Foundation – I was SHOCKED about how good this foundation was. The coverage, formula, and finish are amazing! I did a first impressions of the foundation here. This foundation is perfect if you want some coverage but don’t want a full on BEAT. It does a great job at covering imperfections but still allows you skin to poke through. It is also great for those of you who may be like me and want full coverage. I had no issues with getting this foundation to build up and it didn’t look cakey at all when I did.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Powder Foundation in shades 105 and 310 – I mentioned this powder in a first impressions post back in January. I was really nervous about how this powder would look on my dry skin but there is nothing to worry about with this powder. It was drying at all and it didn’t cling to my dry patches or give me a white cast like I expected it to. I did have to really prep my skin (moisturizer, eye cream, primer, serums) before I applied it to make sure it went on smooth but the extra steps were worth it. D even commented on how smooth and airbrushed my makeup looked when I wore this powder. I wear 310 all over and I like to add 105 under my eyes to set my concealer.

Lipliner

Natasha Denona ‘I Need A Nude’ Lipliner in Dana – I am a sucker for a brown lipliner and I love trying out new shades of brown. I bought this one on a whim from the “new beauty” section of Sephora’s website. I wasn’t expecting too much of it but I ended up really liking it. The color has a bit of pink to it which makes it different from the lip liners I have been in to lately but it looks AMAZING with this lipstick because of that brownish pink hue.

Lipstick

Gucci Matte Lipstick in Penny Beige – All I have to say is BUY THIS!! The shade is perfection and looks really good with a brown lipliner. The color is close to my skin tone so a brown lipliner is necessary or it would blend right in. The formula on this is what really sold me on it though. This lipstick is a matte but it isn’t drying AT ALL. It almost feels like a mousse on the lips.

Patrick TA Major Beauty Headlines Matte Suede Lipstick in Oh She’s Single – I fell in love worth the lipliner first and then decided to try the lipstick and I love it too! TO ME the lipstick and lipliner aren’t the exact same color but they are close enough that I wouldn’t wear the lipstick and lipliner together. I pair this lipstick with this lipliner.

Bronzer

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Highlighter & Shader Duet in Intensity 01 – The price on this product is a bit much but if you are a makeup girl and you like to bronzer or contour, this is a great product to have in your collection. It blends out really smooth and gives me a natural sunkissed look. I usually set it with this bronzing powder.
