What I Got From The VIB Sale

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
I have been looking for this weekend for several reasons but one that has been on the top of the list was the VIB sale at Sephora. When I found out about the sale, I put together a list and posted about it here. I think I said this in that original post but I had already made some beauty purchases before I found out about the sale. For the sake of the sale, I am going to talk about those items here too!

A few quick reminders:

The sale ends September 3rd (today!)

VIB Rouge – 20% off
VIB – 15% off
Beauty Insider – 10% off

SO lets talk about the stuff that I bought during the sale:

Most Recent Beauty Purchases:

These get darker once they dry down!  I purchased sand as a highlighting shade but I will be returning it because once it dries down, it matches my skintone perfectly. I haven’t had the chance to use butterscotch but I am sure it does the same thing. Other than that, the formula is amazing and it doesn’t crease at all.

I  was waiting to purchase this during the sale but I needed a mascara sooner than that so I went ahead and grabbed this. This formula makes your lashes so long without making them clump together. Definitely worth the money! I purchased the travel size too to keep in my makeup bag. This has replaced my dior show blackout mascara that I have been using for 3 years non-stop!

This powder has replaced my flour setting powder by Beauty Bakerie. My only complaint is that this powder doesn’t make my under eyes as bright as I normally like them but I just might go ahead and purchase one of the lighter shades like banana bread or sugar cookie. Now, there is a smell similar to the Huda Beauty #FauxFilter foundation so if you are super sensitive to fragrance, you may want to stay away.

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY! This powder has replaced my MAC dark deepest which I have used for years! The powder is super creamy and smooth and blends seamlessly with the foundations I have tried it with. Mahagony is perfect now while I still have a bit of a tan but I will probably go back for Cappuccino once my tan wears off.

This foundation has made me put my NARS velvet matte skin tint to the side. The shade, the coverage, the finish are all perfect! Before the shade extension, this line did not carry my shade which was a bummer because I really wanted to try it out and I am so glad that they teamed up with Jackie Aina to extend the line! Right now I am wearing brulee but I think I will need to transition to praline during the fall/winter months.

An oldie but goodie. I have purchased and repurchased this time and time again. I have recommended this to so many people. I even  have my mom using this! I can get  super oily sometimes and this really helps keep my makeup together and blend every thing in.

THIS. LOOSE. POWDER. My goodness! One swipe of this stuff and you are looking sooo glowy and dewy. Use a veryyyyyy light hand with this if you plan to purchase it. I went into Sephora with no intention of buying a new highlighter. I started playing with the NARS Orgasm collection which I wasn’t super impressed by until I picked this up. The lady in sephora was even amazed at how gorgeous it was! A must have if you are in the market for a new highlighter. If you do end up purchasing it, I suggested only wearing it with blushes that have pink or peachy undertones because this highlighter is sort of pink and looks better that way IMO.

Happy Shopping!
