My Nighttime Routine

This post is a little late but the time is a fitting IMO because I’m sharing my nighttime routine. Pampering myself before bed is the best part of my day. This routine really makes me feel like THAT GIRL… especially after a LONGGG day of running Sage + Nori to their activities, managing FiveFifteen, and maintaining some semblance of a clean home. Taking the last part of the day to pour into myself is a MUST.

I start my routine off with a workout around 6pm. I was working out early in the mornings for over a year but made the shift to evening/night workouts late spring. I make my own workouts but I try to stick to the schedule my trainer had me on. I mix and match my workouts with things I learned from my trainer, tiktoks, things D gives me to do, and the peloton app. Lately I have been working out just about every day but as long as I get 3 solid workouts in a week I am happy. I like to burn a minimum of 400 calories per workout so I don’t have a time minimum/maximum.

After I workout, I have dinner and drink peppermint tea. The peppermint tea is very soothing and helps me relax and unwind. While I’m eating and drinking my tea I like to watch TV. I recently finished season 2 of the ultimatum and the season was weird to me. I guess more underwhelming than anything….especially the ending. I won’t spoil it if you haven’t watched it yet but if you have watched it…let me know what you think.

Next is shower and skincare. I love reallyyyyy warm showers which are terrible for my eczema but they are so soothing. I use this body wash and this lotion after I shower. For skincare, I love this face wash. It’s gentle but still gives a really good clean and it’s not insanely expensive. I have tried manyyyy gentle face washes (at all price ranges) that don’t leave you feeling clean afterward but this one definitely gets the job done. Once my skin is dry I use tretinoin, wait 5 minutes, and then apply this moisturizer. It almost reminds me of the la mer moisturizer much cheaper. My dermatologist recommended it at a visit and since using it I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else.

The last thing I do is turn on my hatch. I am not a huge fan of the alarm on this but the sleep sounds are TOP TIER. I have NEVER slept better.
